Training FAQs

Do I need experience or to be in shape?

No experience is needed. We teach practical self-defense in a supportive, family-oriented environment, with no competitions or egos. Train at your pace, and tell us about any limitations or concerns before class.

What programs and ages do you teach?

Adult Krav Maga is for ages 13+, and Kids and Homeschool Krav are for ages 7–12. We also offer women’s self-defense, Basics & Fundamentals, Combat Fit, Combative Jiu Jitsu, workshops, and firearms training. Contact us to find the right class.

How does the $20 intro week work?

Try one week of unlimited classes for $20 and experience our training and school atmosphere. Contact us to choose your first class and confirm program eligibility. Belts are earned through training; the intro offer does not guarantee a belt.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear comfortable workout clothing that lets you move freely and bring water. Remove jewelry before training. Training is barefoot unless your instructor says otherwise. Ask about any class-specific gear before your first visit.

When is Combative Jiu Jitsu?

Combative Jiu Jitsu begins November 5, 2026, for adults ages 13+. Classes meet Thursdays and Fridays at 5 PM. Contact us for pricing and specifics, whether taking this class alone or combining it with other classes.

How do I start, and what does it cost?

Call or text (316) 313-3355, or email strikersedgekravmaga@gmail.com. We’ll help you choose a program and explain current membership pricing, inclusions, and options for combining classes. Ask about the $20 intro week when you contact us.
